Music For Life (produced by Hi-Tek)

Underated artist!! Hi-Tek, real name Tony Cottrell is known for his work with Talib Kweli on Reflection Eternal. This track really makes me reflect and appreciate my love for music. A skilled artist, will paint a visual for the listener, to capture the essence of the message being delivered. This is real Hip-hop.

This track features by : J dilla, Common, Busta Rhymes, Nas

One of my favorite quotes.

Jaz-O speaks out about Jay Z

I found this video to be very interesting. There's been a lot of chit-chat about Shawn Carter "Jay Z" being affiliated with the illuminati, (a secret society whose foundation is allegedly associated with soul-selling, and indirect satanic worship in pursuit of material gain) and how his name Jay Hova, stems from the biblical refrence to God who's name is "Jehovah". For those who may not know, producer and emcee Jonathan Burks, "Jaz O" took Jay under his arm in the early 90's which later on lead to Jay Z's big break into mainstream. Since then, with hits like "Ain't no nigga", (produced by Jaz O), Jay Z's lyrical talent placed him on top of the charts, while leaving Jaz O behind. This is unfortunate. I've been a fan of Jay Z since "Reasonable Doubt". I loved his confidence, delivery and clever word play. I will always consider him to be a great artist, but I have to question, and can't respect a man who places himself on the same pedestal as GOD.

Bittersweet! An Ode: When finger tips meet keyboard

I hate to write I hate to write I hate to write I hate to write I hate to write I hate to write I hate to write I hate to write I hate to write I hate to write I hate to write I hate to write I hate to write.
When I write I get so annoyed because I constantly have to think about all of the possibilities. Physics is not a necessarily difficult topic to cover. However, it would take for you to have some level of interest in the subject in order to come up with 400 characters of great things to say about it. Respectively, I can imagine the amount of data one scientist would have to write on a daily basis. Pretty boring. I must admit, seeing my article posted on a website with my byline underneath the title makes me feel proud. Like wow, I wrote that. Then there’s the task of writing that gets me in a bad mood. The writer’s block, the procrastination, the endless deadlines and your supervisor breathing down your neck for projects. It’s deadly I might I say. But yet and still, it may just be a gift from God. For me to construct sentences that will enable readers to be captured in a moment or an event of which they had not experienced. It’s the beauty of informing the public on a topic that they otherwise would be ignorant of. (Excuse me while I pray) Dear lord, give me the strength to complete this last task GOD. Get me past my fears of writer’s block and self-doubt. I rebuke it in the name of the lord!
So I write…..even though I hate it. But one may ask..if you hate it…why do you write??
Hmmmm….I haven’t found an answer to that one yet ; )

So YOU think you can dance?

A New Jersey native with a Brooklyn Boi swagg, known his friends as Jevon "Jersey" Goldson says 2011 is his year. The hip-hop, bone-breaking dancer is on his way to greater heights. Also trained in modern dance and acro , it's safe to say that "Jersey", has definitely honed his skills over the years. The 19-year-old who attends LIU was discovered by professional dancer, Krista Martins at one of his shows. Martins, who is known for her experience in the industry and can be spotted in Dante's "Lawdy Lawdy" video, has worked closey with the dancer as he constantly challenges himself at practice and the stage.
The artist plans on getting signed to a professional dance agency before 2012 reigns in.

New York Fashion Week 2010: "This is my runway"

(to the right; Shavonne DeAnn)

"Ambitous girl" is an appropriate name for aspiring designer Shavonne DeAnne. The college graduate and recent intern for TRACE Magazine was found marching the streets of New York with her team of models during Fashion Week 2010. The young artist recieved a lot of attention as she made it her mission to advertise her designs. As she spreads the word about her artstry with undeniable confidence and never-ending drive, the fashionista states " I may not be inside now, but I will oneday".
..People, don't be suprised if Ms. DeAnne is front and center at Fashion Week a few years from now chattin' it up with Vera Wang!
